HBO’s Game Of Thrones: King Joffrey’s Top Ten Worst Moments
Spoilers Ahead for HBO’s Game Of Thrones, including Season Four’s “The Lion and The Rose”.
Game Of Thrones fans have taken their love of hating King Joffrey to another level. It’s become an amusing phenomenon.
The hate-fest started soon after the second episode when gifs and videos of Tyrion face-slapping Joffrey popped up on the internet. More recently in HBO’s promotion of Season Four, #RoastJoffrey was billed as the world’s first social media comedy roast of the most hated character on television. Take a look at the compilation video below of the best slaps and funniest tweets including “Joffrey is actually High Valyrian for douchebag.”
To top it all off, Sky TV in New Zealand created a fun campaign for fans to topple a seven meter tall statue of Joffrey. When fans tweeted using #bringdowntheking, a rope around the King’s neck gradually lowered the statue until it fell over.
Game Of Thrones: House Stark’s Ten Biggest Mistakes
HBO’s Game Of Thrones: House Stark’s Ten Biggest Mistakes
Spoiler Alert: This article discusses major plot points in HBO’s Game Of Thrones, Season One to Three.
The long grueling wait in between seasons offer fans plenty of time to reflect upon the intricate plotting and fascinating characters that populate HBO’s Game Of Thrones. Of the major houses vying for the Iron Throne, many fans championed House Stark Of Winterfell above all by virtue of the Stark’s deeply rooted values of honor, love, family and loyalty.
An ongoing theme of Game Of Thrones is how good, well-meaning leaders make poor choices as best exemplified by House Stark. Years of bad decision-making culminated in their tragic, shocking demise at the end of Season 3. What makes the Stark’s downfall compelling is that as a viewer, we always understand the context of why characters make the decisions that they do. Some decisions are only mistakes in hindsight, others are terribly misguided, a few are better described as a turning point than as a mistake, while many set off a chain reaction of unforeseeable events.

Game Of Thrones: Season 3 Episode 3 “Walk Of Punishment” Review – Hand Of The Kingslayer! (Note: This review is suitable for fans that only follow the TV show; no books spoilers.)
With the narrative stretching out further across the continents, down the family tree, interweaving strands of history with the present day, it’s no small feat how the weight of its ambition doesn’t collapse upon itself. A sign of intricate storytelling is how dangling threads start to fold back in, forming the infrastructure from which more offshoots can thrive.
There are a couple of developments in Walk Of Punishment that are fine examples of plot points planted long ago that are beginning to take shape. The Hound is on Arya’s nightly death wish list because he slaughtered her friend Mycah, the butcher’s boy she was sword-fighting with back in Season 1, Episode 2.

Let’s take an-depth preview at what we can expect from HBO’s Game of Thrones Season 3.
Game of Thrones: Inside The Episode “The North Remembers” (S02E01)
“The North Remembers” lays the foundation to what promises to be an epic and riveting second season for the award winning medieval fantasy series Game of Thrones. The settings are incredibly diverse and spread over different continents from the desert of the Red Waste to the cold Haunted Forest beyond the Wall. As a red comet blazes overhead, each character’s journey and narrative, no matter where they are in the world are interconnected like strands on a spider web or ripples on a pond. The aftermath of King Robert’s death and Lord Ned Stark’s execution continues to unravel as Tyrion Lannister arrives in King’s Landing to assume the position of the new Hand of the King, Robb Stark sends him mother to forge an alliance with King Renly Baratheon and Stannis Baratheon declares his right to the Iron Throne after receiving Ned’s letter that King Joffrey is the inbred spawn of Queen Cersei and her brother, Jamie the Kingslayer.

The fictional geography, religions, history, family lineage and cultures make Game of Thrones a richly complex, engrossing and fully realized world. Seven hells, I might even do the next review completely in Dothraki! (Just kidding). One of the challenges of adapting a 1000 page book into a 10 episode season is hiding the exposition usually disguised while characters are playing a drinking game, gutting a steer, taking a bath, shaving a chest or plainly having sex. It’s easy to be overwhelmed, gloss over a detail or forget what previously happened whether your new to the TV series or finished reading the book a long time ago. After watching the TV episode, check out some interesting tidbits and brief thoughts below to enrich your viewing experience. (These are intended to be spoiler-free up to the latest aired episode).
Game of Thrones: The North Remembers, Episode 1 Preview; New Characters of Season 2
If there’s one thing we learned from the first season of HBO’s Game of Thrones is that the quest for power is dangerous and unforgiving. A simple error in judgement, strategy, or character flaw such as gluttony, impatience, arrogance, pride, or even nobility can be fatal. So with the passing of King Robert Baratheon, Viserys Targaryen, Khal Drogo, Lord Eddard Stark and many more into the afterlife we welcome and introduce new characters of Season 2. Know your enemies, know yourself, know you have no allies or die with your head upon a spike! Minor Spoilers ahead:
